Congresswoman Maxine Waters will host the event, in which experts from federal, state and local government will be present to answer questions, and help prepare people in the event of a man-made or natural disaster.
"We have experienced multiple earthquakes and aftershocks across Southern California in the last two weeks,” Waters said. “Earthquakes serve as one of the many reminders of the risks we face here within our region. We need to ensure our communities are prepared in case of a serious emergency or natural disaster. "
The event is free and open to the public. George Nakano Theater is located at 333 Civic Center Drive, Torrance.
