Mayor Tasha Cerda gave her 2025 State of the City presentation on March 13 at the Nakaoka Community Center.
This year, Cerda also looked back at Gardena city history as officials look ahead to a 95-year anniversary in 2025.
The State of the City also included Chief Mike Saffell’s review on his police department’s changes since Gardena’s incorporation in 1930.
The March 13 event also included a social hour with various City departments sharing information. Refreshments and entertainment were provided through Recreation Department Director Stephany Santin and her staff.
