Serra freshman pitcher Cardinal Fernandees allowed Cathedral just two hits and struck out six batters in six shutout innings as the Cavaliers blanked the Phantoms, 3-0, in their Del Rey League baseball opener April 8 at Serra. The Cavaliers also defeated host Cathedral, 7-2, last Friday. Serra played two key league games against Bishop Amat on Monday and Wednesday before its spring break.
