Serra High's Chyanne Butler led the Lady Cavaliers with 32 points in its 73-54 win at Bishop Montgomery on Jan. 28 in Torrance and 35 points in the team's 71-50 victory over St. Bernard last Thursday in leading the Del Rey League at 6-0.Butler is one of the Cavaliers' two transfers from St. Bernard, who lost popular head coach Bo Corona last season after reaching the CIF-Southern Section Division IVAA semifinals and the Southern California Division IV finals before losing to Serra in March.
