A driver was killed on Saturday, Nov. 2 when the vehicle he was driving rolled into the center median of a Gardena roadway. Another motorist, who reports suggest was allegedly involved, was arrested at the scene.

The crash was reported at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, in the 2900 block of Rosecrans Avenue east of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to Gardena Police Department Investigator Jose Zamudio.

Zumudio said that the motorist was pronounced dead at the scene. The gender and age of the motorist were not released.

“As officers were conducting their investigation, the driver of a separate involved vehicle returned to the scene,” Zamudio said in a statement. “As a result of leaving the scene, the driver of the second vehicle was arrested by GPD officers.”

Anyone with information was asked to call him at 310-217-6189.
