GVJCI Children’s Day Celebration set for May 8

The Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute invites the public to its first Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day) celebration from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 8 in the GVJCI breezeway (outdoors).

“We will be making kites, koinobori art (carp-shaped art), origami samurai hats, and learning more about this amazing day, and how to celebrate the health and happiness of children,” celebration officials said.
