Holiday program receives $1,000 check from Brookwood Companies
Evette Wedlow-Benjamin, the City of Gardena Helping Hands coordinator, asked for one more week of taking official donations for the 2016 Helping Hands drive for the needy.
“It’s not too late to help us reach our goal,” Wedlow-Benjamin said.
Her faith was rewarded this week, when Brookwood Companies, Inc. stepped forward with a check for $1,000. This last contribution pushes the HH drive past its $22,500 goal to a final tally of $2306.59, Wedlow-Benjamin said.
