• Gardena Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit conducted a narcotics investigation at the FedEx facility on Grand Avenue in Los Angeles. A package confiscated had characteristics consistent with narcotics trafficking and resembled other packages, which the GPD CS Unit has seized in the past.

• Gardena Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit conducted a narcotics investigation at the FedEx facility on Grand Avenue in Los Angeles. A package confiscated had characteristics consistent with narcotics trafficking and resembled other packages, which the GPD CS Unit has seized in the past.
The package was sent from Georgia to the St. Bonaventure Hotel in downtown L.A. Among the contents in the box, were three New Jersey drivers’ licenses. The licenses had the headshot of the same individual, police noted.

1000 block of West Rosecrans Avenue
• A suspect armed with a black submachine gun, demanded took money from an eater and three of its customers. The suspect fled in a gray PT Cruiser, which was occupied by three other individuals.

16600 block of South Western Avenue
• A money bag containing a less than $200 was reported stolen. Also taken was a purse with keys. The front window was found shattered.

1200 block of West 164th Street
• An attempted burglary of a vehicle, which police noted has occurred less than an hour after the victim’s purse was stolen from a friend’s vehicle.

1100 block of West Redondo Beach Boulevard
• Items reported stolen included a radio/CD player and a digital camera. A door lock was damaged to gain entry.

4:22 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4
1300 block of West Cassidy Street
• While in her backyard, a woman was approached by a male suspect who served as a distraction by offering his services to do paint work. The woman had a feeling she was being victimized and forced away around the suspect.
Upon entering her residence, the woman saw a second suspect crouched near the front hallway. The suspects fled. Later the woman reported cash had been taken from her wallet, as well as jewelry.

• Rental checks were reported stolen. The front door glass was found smashed in the burglary.

13000 block of South Hilton Place
• Reported stolen were miscellaneous jewelry, cash, and banks cards. Later, the victim reported somebody tried to use the credit cards to make a purchase.
A window screen was damaged in the break-in.

• Reported stolen was a Sony PS3 and remote controllers. A window was forced down so the suspect(s) could enter the vehicle.
