At the City Council meeting on the evening of Tuesday, September 8, Public Works Item 17A called for, “Authorization to Purchase the 2027 Ford F-550 Super Duty Cab with Roadline Graffiti Truck from National Auto Fleet Group, Inc in the amount of $185,700.66.”
City Manager Clint Osorio stated that the new truck would replace the 2016 graffiti truck, which is used daily, and the industry standard for a high-use vehicle is about 10 years.
That item passed unanimously, as did Recreation & Human Services Item 18A: “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Gardena, California, Repealing and Readopting Title 11 of the Gardena Municipal Code Relating to Parks, Recreation and Human Services.”
Staff recommended that the ordinance be adopted, and it was with a 5-0 vote.
Earlier, Administrative Services Item 13A called for, “Acceptance of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the Adopted Biennial Budget.”
It has become a habit for the city to receive an award for its meticulous budget, and the council took the opportunity to congratulate staff.
