Fullerton College’s football team rallied for two fourth quarter touchdowns to defeat El Camino College 30-23 last Saturday at Fullerton District Stadium.

The Warriors, who fell to 2-2, led the Hornets 23-16, but could not hang on.

Fullerton, which improved to 4-1, scored the tying touchdown on a run by Brandon Nunez and Tyrone Greene scored the eventual winning TD on a 20-yard run with five minutes left in the game.

After a 3-3 tie at the end of the first quarter, the Hornets took a 10-3 lead but the Warriors tied the game on Brian Santana-Fis’s 60-yard scoring run.

Fullerton led 16-10 at half- time, but El Camino came back with a 17-16 lead when quarterback Mehki Jordan tossed a 50-yard TD pass to Marceese Yetts. ECC padded its lead to 23-16 late in the third period when former North Torrance High standout running back Stephen Bradford, Jr. scored on a 5-yard run.

El Camino hopes to bounce back as it hosts Santa Monica City College in a make-up game that was postponed from what was supposed to be their season opener from Sept. 3 this Saturday at 6 p.m.
