On Friday, December 27, the Fountain Valley Police Department released a statement to say that their officers had responded to reports of suspicious activity involving a gray BMW SUV near Talbert and Bay.

“The vehicle fled when located, leading to a pursuit which CHP took over that ended in Los Angeles County in the city of Gardena,” they said. “Three out of four suspects who fled on foot after the vehicle was disabled were captured. Officers discovered six stolen catalytic converters, burglary tools, and a stolen license plate inside the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle was also reported stolen.”

According to the police, the suspects have been linked to multiple thefts, “including incidents in Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, and Irvine,” and “including an assault against a police officer. This incident led to multiple felony arrest charges.”
