Discussion will center on the upcoming National Library Week activities the week of April 13-19, with many special programs scheduled, including a “Gigantic Book Sale” April 12 to start the week, Friends officials said.

To support the library, the Friends raises fund through a variety of means: donations, used book sales, Best Seller Books rental collections, and special activities.

The funds go toward programs and special activities for all ages, new books, supplies and equipment not funded through the County of Los Angeles.

New members are welcome and membership for individuals is $10 per year; $15 for families; and $35 for organizations. Life membership is available for a one-time payment of $100.
