Bishop Montgomery's Stephen Thompson Jr. led the Knights with 20 points, four assists and three steals as the Knights crushed Moreau Catholic from Hayward, 85-44, for their third California State Division IV championship last Saturday at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. The Knights' other state titles were in 2000 and 2001. Thompson is the son of former Crenshaw High standout player Stephen Thompson Sr., who led the Cougars to California state Division I crowns in 1985 and 1986.
