• While sitting and talking with her friend in the friend’s car, a male acquaintance approached. After speaking to the victim’s friend, the man walked around to the passenger side and tried to start a conversation with victim, then allegedly punched her in the mouth.

• While sitting and talking with her friend in the friend’s car, a male acquaintance approached. After speaking to the victim’s friend, the man walked around to the passenger side and tried to start a conversation with victim, then allegedly punched her in the mouth.
The female victim told Gardena police that the male suspect knew her friend, then approached her side of the car to have a conversation. She refused, which angered the suspect and caused him to retaliate with a punch to her face, the victim told police.
The victim chose initially not to call police, but later went to Memorial Hospital of Gardena for medical treatment. She required 7 stitches to her upper lip to close the wound.

12900 block of South Halldale Avenue
• A man who stopped his Cadillac Escalade at a stop sign, two men ran up to his vehicle to take his vehicle.
The victim said one suspect was armed with a handgun, and aimed at his head. Then the victim had his watch yanked from his wrist, before he was pulled out of his vehicle. The suspect drove away in the vehicle.
The stolen vehicle was an LAX rental, the victim told police.

13500 block of South Western Avenue
• A suspect reportedly crawled through the window of a fast food eatery after hours, grabbed a worker and ordered him to open the registers.
When the victim said he did not have the keys to the register, the suspect pulled the registered off the counter and pitched it out the drive-thru window. The register landed inside the suspect’s tan-colored GMC Yukon.
The suspect then crawled through the drive-thru window, and drove away.
A pit bull dog was also seen in the suspect’s vehicle.

14000 block of South Crenshaw Boulevard
• As a woman was walking and texting her father, she said a male suspect approached from behind and stole the phone.
The suspect fled on phone and ultimately was seen entering a black SUV.

11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 23
14700 block of South Budlong Avenue
• Unknown suspect reportedly pried open a door for entry and then stole multiple items a variety of items, including a MacBook Pro, passport, video games, personal cards, currency and iPhones.
Total loss was estimated at nearly $40,000.

1200 block of West Redondo Beach Boulevard
• A suspect was seen loitering in front of a store, near a phone. The suspect was next seen in the parking lot, and finally, inside of a black Chevy Avalanche.
Then a sound of breaking window glass was heard. The main suspect and a second male suspect were seen fleeing in a Chevy Avalanche.

• Miscellaneous jewelry and a notebook computer were reported stolen.
A door was kicked in during the burglary.

• Reported stolen were various items, including a laptop computer, a digital camera, a bag with a book reader, a cell phone and a DVD player.
The property was recovered from a stolen vehicle, which was used in a separate burglary.
