Serra High sophomore Jasmine Reed won the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of 11.94 and 24.04 seconds, in order, as well as anchoring the Cavaliers' 4×100-meter relay to a win at 47.57 and leading off on Serra's victorious 4×400 relay (4:03.24) in the Del Rey League Track and Field Championships on May 6 at St. Paul High in Santa Fe Springs. Reed and several other top Cavalier athletes will attempt to advance enough to the CIF-Southern Section Division IV Championships that will be on May 23 at Cerritos College as they vie in Saturday's Division IV Prelims at Carpinteria High Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.
