Cristhian Macias won the Marine League individual boys cross country championship with a time of 16 minutes and 31 seconds on Nov. 6 at Peck Park in San Pedro, then won his heat in the CIF-Los Angeles City Section Division II at 16:24.06 at Pierce College in Woodland Hills. Macias also keyed the Panthers to a second place finish, behind power San Pedro, in the Marine Championship and into Saturday's finals at Pierce, beginning at 8 a.m. Gardena won its heat as a team.
