JCI taiko classes start 3 levels in September

Have you ever been interested in the art of Taiko?

Whether you want to learn about the history of taiko or actually practice yourself, the Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute (GVJCI) is happy to help.

No prior experience is necessary to attend these classes that will be taught by Yuujou Taiko, a group of friends from all over Southern California passionate about the art of taiko.

Learn from professionals how to practice taiko and about the rich history and culture behind it. You may even be able to show off your new skills at any GVJCI programs and events.

“Our classes begin on Sunday, Sept. 11 with beginners classes starting at 12:30 p.m., intermediate classes starting at 1:30 p.m., and advanced classes at 2:30 p.m.,” a JCI officials said. “If you are interested in taking these classes, they are $95 for eight weeks. Any age, any experience, any person who would like to learn about taiko is welcomed at our center.”
