7:25 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2

1300 block of West Rosecrans Avenue

• A woman reported to police that after exiting a liquor store, she was followed to her car by two men. As soon as she opened the door to her car, one of the male suspects rushed her and grabbed her purse.

Both suspects then fled. They were said to be between 16 and 18 years old. No weapons were seen.

Stolen items were a purse, keys, personal cards and currency.

No injuries were reported.

1300 block of West Rosecrans Avenue

1200 block of West Gardena Boulevard

• A male suspect armed with a handgun, trained the weapon on the victim and guided him to a register. The victim’s wife who was at the register, ran out of the store and across the street.

The suspect then fled the store without taking anything.

2700 block of West 157th Street

• A home was burglarized. The resident noticed a window broken on the rear patio door. It was unknown what property was stolen at the time of the report.

• Reported stolen were glow-in-the-dark stars, earbuds and a bracelet. The home was found ransacked. No signs of a force entry by the suspect(s).

12900 block of South Berendo Avenue

• A man had his work truck broken into and reportedly as stolen was  a milk crate with caulking tubes as missing

A witness said that a suspect was seen entering the camper shell area, then leaving in an older-model, dark Toyota Camry or Honda Civic driven by a second suspect.

13200 blocks of South Ruthelen Avenue

• A car stereo was reported stolen. A rear passenger-side window was found lowered as a means of entry.

2600 block of West 156th Street

• A substantial amount of jewelry was reported stolen. Police said that entry was via a rear door that was pried and then kicked open.

2600 block of West Redondo Beach Boulevard

• A laptop computer was reported missing. Suspect(s) reportedly pried a rear door, which led to an attached garage, police said.

• Reported stolen were laptop computers, a gun, a Play Station and a purse. Police found a sliding glass door pried as a means of entry.

• It was unknown what was stolen at the time of the police report. Swinging double doors to the building were found damaged.

• Laptop and jewelry were reported stolen.  Police determined that an unlocked sliding door was the point of entry by the suspect(s).

• A laptop computer was reported stolen. A relative to the victim might have taken the property, according to the victim.

• A catalytic converter was reported stolen form a Toyota 4Runner.

1300 block of West Artesia Boulevard

• A man was duped into buying non-existent Mac products by two  men he met in the next car, while waiting at a cross light.

The suspects asked the victim if he was interested in purchasing three iPads. The victim agreed and they pulled their cars into a fast food parking lot to negotiate a deal.

Once the victim was given a price for the items, he said he needed to withdraw cash from his bank. Then, after handing the suspects an envelope with cash, the victim received three boxes of iPads.

When the victim returned to work and opened the boxes, he discovered each was filled with plywood and not iPads.
