A man was shot and killed at a restaurant on the outskirts of Gardena, according to authorities.
The shooting took place at about 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 2 at a restaurant in the 18100 block of Vermont Avenue on the boundary of Gardena and Los Angeles according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Division.
The victim is a 35-year-old male, and he was seated at the restaurant when the male suspect, who is estimated to be about 35 to 40 years and was also at the restaurant, walked up and fired a shot into the man.
The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, currently unknown, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There are reports that the restaurant also housed an illegal casino, but police can’t corroborate that at this time.
