Helping Hands 2015 finishes with a flourish

Gardena’s 2015 Helping Hands holiday drive concluded it fundraising with a strong final two weeks between Christmas and New Year’s, and the first week of the new year.

The North Torrance Lions Club led all donors in Week 6 with a gift of $500. Loyce Holt made yet another major contribution, giving $400 to the holiday fundraiser for needy families. Following her was a $230 gift from the Gardena Emblem Club.

Gardena’s 2015 Helping Hands holiday drive concluded it fundraising with a strong final two weeks between Christmas and New Year’s, and the first week of the new year.

The North Torrance Lions Club led all donors in Week 6 with a gift of $500. Loyce Holt made yet another major contribution, giving $400 to the holiday fundraiser for needy families. Following her was a $230 gift from the Gardena Emblem Club.

There were three $200 donations from Ronald Panter, the Gardena Valley Lions Club, and an anonymous person or group. Adding $100 donations were Christopher and Charlotte Lynch, and the Second Time Around Seniors Club.

The St. Anthony Seniors added $50, as did Frank and Lidia Onderka.

And for the New Year’s week, there was one $100 donation from Eric Kirks.

The final two weeks brought in $2,130.

The official final tally will be printed in the weeks to come.
